Before your appointment

It is recommended, you wait 14 days after having a scale and polish, to have your teeth whitened as it can increase the risk of hypersensitivity.

If you have sensitive teeth it’s advised to use Sensodyne toothpaste for a few days beforehand, (my first 2 whitens claimed to have sensitive teeth, to cold food, yet they did not react at all, without using Sensodyne beforehand.)

You can eat normally before your treatment, but please do not brush your teeth with toothpaste the morning of your treatment, just brush using water. The reasoning behind this, is the paste can sometimes block pores in the teeth, and prevent the gel from getting in properly.

After your appointment

The first 24 hours after your treatment are crucial to get you your best results. After your teeth are whitened the pores on the teeth open up, same as on our face after cleansing, they are very easily restained by eating or drinking anything thats ‘coloured’. After 24 hours the pores naturally close again as they rehydrate and makes it safer to introduce colours into food and drink.

24 hours after treatment
No eating or drinking anything that's not white. No smoking or vaping or anything containing tobacco. Use only WHITE toothpaste. YEAH SORRY no coffee or tea, red wine, soy sauce or sodas. Only white stuff. I also have dental-grade ‘Top-Up’ whitening pens for sale, these work awesome for keeping your whitest smile between appointments.
