Frequently asked questions
It's natural to be curious about your appointment before you come in for your booking so we have prepared a selection of the top asked questions for you to check out.
How Long does it last?
It depends on the individual, if you want to maintain your whitest possible smile, a 20 min refresh is recommended after 3-6 Months. Ultimately it’s up to you to determine how white you want your teeth to look.
How does it work?
Teeth whitening is the process of breaking apart the chemical bonds in the stain causing compounds through application of peroxide based whitening gel to the teeth.
A peroxide-based medical quality whitening gel is applied to teeth. We then use our beyond II blue light System to oxidise rapidly, the organic discolourations on and in teeth, making the stains neutral, resulting in a whiter / brighter appearance.
Who can’t use this service?
You must be over 16 years of age. I cannot treat pregnant or breast feeding mothers. Anyone with gum disease, exposed roots or holes in their teeth, is not a candidate for this treatment until dental work has been carried out.
Does it damage the Enamel?
Studies have shown it has less effect on your enamel than drinking a glass of orange juice. The 6% hydrogen peroxide used breaks down into oxygen and water.
Does it hurt?
I have sensitive teeth and it has had no effect on mine - I have had 3 full sessions in the last year. If you were to feel extra sensitivity it would only last the first 24 hours. The hardest thing is keeping your mouth wide open for an hour!
How Long till I see results?
The results are instant after we remove the last application!
